From a small Lethbridge operation in 1980 to one of Canada’s largest trailer manufacturers, Southland Trailers has grown through hard work, smart processes, and a team-first culture.

Founded by Monty and Shelly Sailer in 1980, Southland Trailer Corp. started with a clear belief: better people and better processes build better products. What began as a family-run shop has grown into a 550+ person team with six facilities and customers across North America.

Today, Southland is still led by the Sailer family. The next generation continues to grow the company with in-house engineering, advanced equipment, robotic welding, and a focus on steady improvement.

The trailer industry often treats heavy as strong. We look at it differently. Extra trailer weight can reduce legal payload. Our team uses engineering, smarter materials, and controlled manufacturing to put strength where it is needed, not where it only adds dead weight.

Thanks Fellas much appreciated! The flat deck gets lots of attention and nice comments out here… I’m one of very few 34’ goosenecks out here. We’re trying to help grow your brand out here. Michael from Nanaimo Trailers does a great job of that. Your Dump trailers are everywhere out here! (I’ve had my 7×14 16K for 4 years now and she still makes it happen!)

Hey!!!! @dustylumberco sent us. Feel awful about the Oilers but your trailer has to find a way to our address here in Ontario Wow, we thought we were impressed with the power jack, 5 minutes later after the video ended there was no other trailer better than yours, amazingly thought out and over engineered-brilliant!
